• As much as I would love to give this a 5 star I can’t. THIS IS NOT as they claim.

First: “100% WordPress Multisite and BuddyPress compatible”
Of course it is. You MUST have Multisite enabled if you want users to sell products.
Second: “you can use it to start your own Etsy or Ebay style network of stores… where you take a % on each sale!!!”

This is NOT even close to Esty or Ebay.
With users to be able to sell products they must have their OWN store/multisite which in turn is not what Esty or Ebay is. On ebay I register, login , upload my product, done! With Marketpress I have to register, login, set up a store, configure a website basically and then I am able to sell my products and when changes to the main site are done it has no effect on the users Multisite. If I change the logo or menu items for example on the main site, it does not change on the Multisite because those Multisites are just that, a separate site from the main site that must be configured on a user basis.
So basically what this is, is a plugin requires for Multisite enabled for a user to have a store within your domain but is not actually part of your own store. It its is NOT a plugin to be used if all you want is a user to be able to sell products on the main site like Ebay or Esty.
Sorry, but the description ruined this for me and has caused me days of frustration. I will note, support has been great! They have attempted to help me but to no avail.
This would be a great product for those who do want Multisites but worthless for those who don’t that and only want users to be able to sell products on your site alone.

  • Thank you for your review! You saved me a lot of headache, as I was looking for the same thing – I want my buddypress users to be able to create and sell their products on my website, without creating their own websites/stores. Have you found a plugin that has this functionality? I’ve been looking around, but I’m not seeing anything. Any suggestions?
