Before I go further, please don't pile on and remind me I'm a tool for not doing things the correct way. I'm beating myself up enough as it is.

Okay, here goes. This morning, I was at 2.01 and decided to upgrade to 2.31. I used the backup plugin to get my database backup and saved my content folder. Then I deleted everything I didn't create and uploaded the new version.

K, went to upgrade.php, said there wasn't a config file. So, I went into my netfirms admin panel, grabbed my database info (name, user, pwd) and plugged it in. WP said "Okay, looks like there isn't anything installed, gotta install. Um, sure, okay. I installed and then it says "You're good!" and it gives me a fresh install.

    slump.

So, what can I do now? I installed the wp-phpMyAdmin plugin, but when I try and go into it, it says there aren't any databases installed.

I'm so lost. Any help is so so appreciated.

    thanks,
    Mike

Sounds like you might be using a different $table_prefix in your wp-config.php file that you originally had.

If you look at your database tables (assuming you have phpMyAdmin from your host) what are the names of your WordPress tables. From the name of the posts table you can discern the prefix so if the posts table is called wp_posts then the $table_prefix in wp-config.php should be 'wp_'

For future reference, please review WordPress Backups and get a backup of both your WordPRess files, and your WordPress database.
