  • Hi timkil,

Your third example works on my site:
    http://www.davistribe.org/gde/test3/

The first does not work because shortened URLs are not supported at this time. (You may be able to allow this by unchecking “check for errors before loading viewer” option on the “Advanced” tab of GDE Settings.) The plugin can shorten the URL for you after the fact (a viewer profile option), though.

The second does not work because the link format just doesn’t comply with the way the plugin is supposed to work in general. A fair guess though 🙂

In all cases, though, if the shortcode is displaying instead of either the viewer or an error, there is a more fundamental problem, perhaps (in declining order of likelihood):

    1) The shortcode is corrupt, such as contains hidden HTML (check the Text tab in the post editor)
    2) Another plugin or a theme is conflicting
    3) Your WordPress install is corrupt (breaking shortcode functionality everywhere)

Let me know how it goes or if you need more clarification.

    Kevin
