And what did you find when you visited your own admin panel (before posting) > Options > Reading: Syndication Feeds?
I don’t think this will work for me. I still need the syndication to feed my users, who subscribe to the feed. I think this will also affect the list of 10 latest posts I have on my front page (outside WP).
Hense why I was looking for a way to get only the latest post as a seperate feed (perhaps by using some arguements in the URL)or perhaps a way of embedding the latest feed in my page.
Mabey I can do this with the XML data tools in dreamweaver and just have it only retrieve the first record. Just checking to see if there was a better way.
To get an idea of what I am talking about you can look at http://www.liquidarchaeology.com . On the sites main page I have a feed of the latest 4 articles on the left. On the right I have a welsome message. Below the welcome message I would like to embed the latest post in its entirety to help make that page dynamic.
I realized I contradicted myself on the post above. there are 4 latest posts on the main page which is why I dont think reducing my syndication to 1 will work.
