Support » Plugin: Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth » WordPress.com stats switched

I have Jetpack installed on my dev server and also on my live server and they are linked to the same WordPress.com account. Somehow two days ago, WordPress.com is now switching the names of the two on their end, and the stats/connections for twitter, facebook, etc, are now going to the dev server. The live server shows the stats for dev, and vice versa.

It appears that the Jetpack team is on vacation this week. I am unable to fix this myself or even send a support ticket directly to them.

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting them, and even screwing around with the access tokens in the database with no success.

  • I took a look at this with Cee and two symptoms are worth noting:

1.) Deactivating the plugin on the dev site makes the old/real stats from the live site disappear from the WP.com dashboard.

2.) New hits on the real, prod site are tracked in the WP.com dashboard showing the subdomain of the dev site. In other words the place where the historical stats were tracked isn’t used anymore.

Basically, if we wait a week before this is fixed then the real stats are going to have a week-long hole in them.

I know Jetpack is free so doesn’t warrant a lot of support time, but does anyone know who at Automattic might help with this?

Hi! I can definitely help out with this, but I need a link to the site first. Thanks!
