if you were to write some notes in your .css to let folks less familiar with css know where to input images for backgrounds it will no doubt be a big hit!
something that would really make it pop is overlaying images… do a google on ‘complex spiral css’… your basic layout would look tremendous using that! an idea I had while looking at your content/design is an image of london or somewhere using the complex spiral concept, and having your posts over a clouded or translucent like example of the same image.
overall I think it looks good!
the only negative, and it isn’t really a negative- is somehow let folks know upon arrival that the nav is on the left…
– make the search box say “Type and hit Enter to search” or something similar
– make people, upon arrival, know where the nav bar is
– maybe try to separate the posts a little more so that people find it easier to distinguish between them

I like it but I am not very hip on the nav bar you have. What is the point in hiding it? I could see doing that if it changed going from a a single column to a 2 column layout and back again on the fly to provide more space when a user was not navigating.
The way it is set up kind of annoyed me having to mouse over on the left see what was in the nav bar, move the mouse back over to the right to scroll down more, move the mouse back over to the left again…repeat..
It is a very nice clean look though.

I love the theme, it’s reliable, and XHTML strict.
The only thing I wish of it though… Is that I would have created my blog in a different directory than the root. I would like to have a snazzy front page, like yours. 🙂
