insert nextgen gallery

    Hello
    I have installed wp 3 weeks ago and now also nextgen gallery
    is anybody able to tell me how to insert a nextgen gallery in to a post, from add media?
    I created a gallery
    i do this
    open a post, edit, add media
    a windows of the media to enter , appear
    on the right i have
    insert media
    create gallery
    set featured image
    insert from url
    nextgen gallery

    if i click on nextgen gallery, in the drop down menu i select my only gallery i did before.
    once done, i save as asked. and nothing appear!
    close the windows and the next gen gallery is not in the post

    my question is: why? how can i insert the ng gallery to a post?

    it seems impossibile
