Deactivate all plugins and switch over to Twenty Twelve theme temporarily and see if you find the links.
Switching over to twenty twelve worked the links are working. I am using the Pinboard theme what should I do to correct this?

That means the problem was the theme. You can download a fresh copy of the theme and replace the current one with the fresh copy. That should solve the problem.

I just uploaded the theme again. Still the same problem. Any other thoughts? Is it possible to create a new blog section and re link all the past blogs?
Did you download and use a fresh copy of the theme or just reloaded the old copy? In that case, the problem is bound to return. If using a fresh copy of the theme also did not help, you have to abandon the theme and try some other theme.
The problem was migration from one theme to Pinboard. Once I built the page from scratch the theme worked perfectly.
Watch out for migration problems when switching themes.
