Nope, I did that and it does make a space but it still keeps bumping the things underneath it.

Ah… another trick is to set the character limit to 250 for widgets than 500.

Where do I do this? I tried going so testimonials>settings>widget and setting it there but nothing happens. I set the character limit to 10 just make sure.
Ah, edit the widget instance itself.
That settings page is global, which widget instances inherit from on creation. After that, the widget instances are unique.

Can I do that using CSS? I’m not sure what code I should be using to do this.
Okay, time to back up a little.
Can you please specifically describe what your concern is? A screenshot with markers might help greatly.

It’s hard to do with screenshot because the problem happens when the testimonials widget switches from one to the other.
When it switches, it moves the widgets underneath them up and down a little. It happens on both the sites that am using them on.

Understood.
Look for screenshot Collapsed Testimonials Widget options on http://wordpress.org/plugins/testimonials-widget/screenshots/.
Notice the Character Limit? Change that to 250.
Set Height to say 300.
Let me know the results.

Nope, it still keeps bumping everything under. Just for fun, I tried setting the Character Limit to 10 and it still happens.

I’ve discovered that it’s fixed on firefox, but not chome and safari. I’m not sure about IE. I’ll have to check that from my other computer tomorrow.
Can you please update to the latest testimonials widget version, clear your caches and then let me know if it’s working or not?
Also, have you tried this with the TwentyTwelve theme?

I do have the latest and I cleared my cache. It seems to only bump the text in chrome and safari. Unfortunately, a lot of my audience uses chrome. But you are right, it doesn’t seem to happen with TwentyTwelve. I’m currently creating a child theme using itheme’s builder.
If it’s a problem with the theme I’m building, I’m more than willing to upgrade to the premium plug-in since I really love it and I plan to use it on more client sites.
On OSX Chrome, http://trinidadpena.com/testing/MAR/ is fine for me.
http://trinidadpena.com/, does move around. However, it’s because of wrappings inside the testimonials widget. If you dig around via Inspect Element and watch the CSS sidebar, you’ll find the bit causing the trouble.
