At this time, the plugin does not support any way to do this by default.

There was a request for a shortcode with the plugin, but the original poster never came back to explain how that would work and it hasn’t been a frequently requested feature. If that would help you, maybe you could respond to that thread with some ideas.

There is also a plugin called Widgets on Pages. I have never used this plugin so haven’t evaluated its quality or compatibility with Feature a Page Widget, but theoretically, that may let you do what you’re trying to do. If so, let me know and I can add a note about it on the plugin page.

    Hi,

is it possible to add a feature of using shortcodes?
If it’s possible to refer to the created featured page(s) by a specific short code, then this would make it easy to place the short code any where you would like. This way you can get the featured page also outside the widgetized areas.

I’m not sure if this feature is allready available in the Feature A Page Widget, but it would make things a lot easier.

    Thanks for this widget.

Please see the above response. I’m considering including a feature like this in v2.0.

In the mean time, with some experimentation, it should be possible to make a shortcode that runs the_widget() as its output. It won’t be super efficient, but it would work.
