Trouble with Magazine Basic

Updated Magazine Basic yesterday and am now unable to 1) add links to the pages (nothing happens when I click the links icon), 2) add media to pages (nothing happens when I click on the add media button), 3) featured images are not displaying and 4) the side menu bar was switched to the top and the message Inactive Sidebar (not used) is found in the widgets menu.
