  • I have been looking for a easy to use plugin to add the “add from url” feature to the Add media
    any help is appreciate!
    tried to put a link to image showing what i’m asking but doesn’t work

  • You can always try “Insert from URL” when you click “Add Media” on a post or page?
    You will need the latest version of WordPress to do this.

    That might work if I wanted the source to serve the image. Which I DO NOT! I want the image to be part of my media library, cached on my server.

    Honestly this is such a basic task, there has to be a plugin to add this feature?

    The correct answer is…
    When In Add Media, using either the single file uploader or the multi-file uploader, whichever you click on when the window popup opens to browse, just put the image URL in the file name space.
