Louise,
1. Are your forcing the read more link via shortcode or widget options? It’s possible that the shorter bit is actually the short testimonial below the char_limit
cutoff to force read more links automatically.
2. That tweet text is coming from something that modifies the excerpt. It’s probably a plugin that’s activated or called before Testimonials Widget.

Hi Michael,
1. I am not forcing the read more link either way.
I thought I would remove the widget from it’s position and then re-add it, see if that made a difference, but now if I have the widget “alternate testimonial post type” set to widget or pages, as it currently is, it says no testimonials found; set to pages and it just shows the Client Reviews title with no review.
I have tried clearing the cache, disabling the cache and but it doesn’t make any difference. I am not really a web type person. I have a little knowledge and so I have had to use trial and error as I couldn’t find documentation to understand what a lot of the options meant.
2. I know which plug in is causing this, how would I go about setting things up so that the Testimonials Widget is called for or activated first?
It is interesting that this only happens on 2 out of the 3 testimonials.

Thank you for your help again

Louise,
1. If you’re not using the testimonials-widget post type for your testimonials I’m unable help you for free. You can contact me via http://aihr.us/contact-aihrus/.
2. This is also a non-TW plugin related issue then, which isn’t free support.
What I can do, is take a look around your system quickly to see if it’s a configuration issue of some type. You can send me an admin login via http://aihr.us/contact-aihrus/.
Michael
Michael,
1. I was and am using the testimonials-widget post type but as I couldn’t find documentation explaining what all the different options were / do (sorry if I have missed that) I was just trying different options to see if they made any difference / solved the problem.
2. Appreciate that, it is getting late here so I will see if the updates sent me via e-mail help.
Thanks for the prompt replies, appreciated,
Louise
I installed the updates as per the instructions, it would seem that it is the premium widget that is causing the problem so I will send a support request as per the update e-mail.
Per support email…
1. Fixed, configuration issue. Check “Force read more links”.
2. Still plugin conflict. Paid support required to debug further.
