Sudden 500 Internal Server Error

    I haven’t made any changes to my blog besides random posts throughout the week in a couple of months. Today I was able to login once to post some simple text and it posted fine. But when I came back this afternoon to log back in, my blog as well as the wp-login.php page are encountering 500 Internal Server Errors.

    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@xxx.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    I’ve replaced all wordpress files on my server with a backup copy I made a couple of weeks ago but still the site is down. Help!
