You can take a look here at the site: http://www.advancedpps.ca

Using the NAVT plugin via widgets.
I created the first list group (Pages) which is actually mostly pages with one category. I successfully inserted it into the sidebar using the regular widget interface and I was cheering. I then created a second list group (Categories) and have 2 problems: first, it lists the first sub-category with the arrow as if it is a parent (the arrow is part of the theme style obviously); and it breaks the styling of the rest of the sidebar (the standard Archive and Blogroll widgets) which didn’t happen when I only used NAVT widget 1.

  • try this.
    Go to this link
    Download the development version.
The only change from .95.45 and the only fix in it is for nested ULs.
Give that a try and see if it corrects your problem.

The archive and links are list items that don’t appear to be inside an UL tag from what I can see with FireBug. In the code I think I see the UL that should be associated with the list items (each one appears to be a widget) but in FireBug it shows the LI as not being part of a UL.

anyway – try the newest version of the plugin above and see if my latest corrections fixes the problem. You might try moving the archives and links above the NAVT widget to see if they are styled correctly above the NAVT widget – then move them back underneath.

You might also try removing the empty page divider from the bottom of the categories group.

Forget what I said… [sigh]… I’ve taken a closer look at it appears that I still haven’t quite fixed it yet. When I get it working correctly I’ll let you know.

Great, thanks! I’d put the empty space divider in to see if that would solve the problem but it didn’t. Strange that the archives and links (and the default categories widget) looked ok when there was just the one NAVT list. The only difference I can see is the nested list (i.e. parent/child) issue. Probably once that’s been fixed everything should fall into place.

I just want to tell you how wonderful this plugin is. Fantastic! I’m loading it on all my blogs from now on (assuming this little bug is fixed).

Ok – the development version has the (hopefully) final fix. I’ve completely rewritten the logic for nesting. Give it a try. I’m going to do a little more testing and I will probably release it within the next 24 hours if I can’t break it myself.
