Why wont those jetpack galleries work for me?

Hi guys!

Decided to switch to the ’tiled galleries’ by Jetpack but left unsatisfied after I found out that those beautifull mosaic galleries do not work with lightbox plugins.
When I pressed one of the images, the pages just reloads! in other words, the thumbnail links to the attached page…. now why would that be…

I just want it to work with my lightbox plugin and dont want carousel because it is way to heavy in my opinion.

I read somewhere that the tiled galleries module needs to be edited to be able to use a lightbox plugin? is that true? if I insert a single image with ‘add media’ my lightbox works fine….
