Import and sort spreadsheet data

We get sports events schedules from local schools in spreadsheet form, for the entire season (say, the winter sports season).

I want to be able to mass upload a cleaned-up single spreadsheet, then be able to express the data in the spreadsheet in different ways.

For example, I’d like to be able to have on my local sports home page a list of all of the sporting events scheduled for the day.

On the home page of a given team, I’d like to be able to present only that team’s schedule.

I don’t see a plugin that will allow a mass upload (rather than the PITA process of entering one event at a time, hundreds of times) and then allow the custom reexpression of that data.

Any ideas? I’m willing to consider helping to fund development of a plugin for this issue if there’s no other way.
