• I am looking for a way to create a space on my homepage that contains an image area that links to a post/story. The picture area would change the picture every few seconds, and when the user clicked on the current image, the corresponding article would be called. Newsweek.com and NFL.com both have the exact functionality that I am looking for, with the rotating images, and with each image there is a small sentence or few that describe the story. There is also the capability to click to see the next/previous story image. Please let me know if I need to further explain what I mean. Thank you.

  • I guess you just need as much money as they have to order such a gizmo 🙂

Seriously, I can’t remember anything like that here around WP.

funny, yes, how much could it be, $20? give or take a few zeros…maybe I just need to make it myself, which I’m trying to avoid since I have about 1.5 hours of free time a week….if I do figure it out I’ll definitely share it here….thank you for the quick response

You don’t need “as much money as they do”. What you’re looking for sounds like SmoothGallery, it’s free, but it’s not a WordPress plugin so be prepared to do some coding. Here’s the site http://smoothgallery.jondesign.net/
