It doesn't seem to be working – I can click without restriction

I am still not getting this to work. Not sure why. Just installed latest plug in version today.
Configured as:
ClickBomb Protection Configuration
Click Limit- 2
Ban Duration (In Days) 1
Click Duration (In Days) 3

I have installed the code around my adverts – for example:

However when I click on my own advert, I am able to click away unrestricted as many times as I like without being blocked. Which means others can too.

Can you please help? Am I doing something wrong? It seems so easy to set up, but I can’t get it to work. Thanks.
