    Hi everyone,

I recently started a blog on Blogger, but I would like to move my blog to WordPress.

Actually I don’t have that many posts on my Blogger blog yet, so I could easily move them “manually” (copy & paste), but what about my custom domain?

I bought a domain (via GoDaddy) and it’s already in use on my Blogger blog. I want to keep my blog address same after moving my blog to WordPress. I just don’t know what to do. So, what is the easiest way to move my blog to WordPress and keep my custom domain address.

Can someone please guide me through – preferably step by step.

    Thank you very much.

Here in wordpress.org , its self hosting platform , which means you also have to take up hosting to run wordpress.
You might want to go to wordpress.com. which is also like blogger . In which case you can just use the Domain name – check this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-a-domain/

You can use import export tools to transfer posts from blogger to wordpress

You can use the same custom domain for WordPress blog.
Steps to follow (if you want to go with self hosted WordPress):
    1. First purchased a hosting for WordPress from any hosting company.
    2. Install WordPress on temporary URL provided in hosting account.
    3. Import all the posts and comments from blogger.com blog by using default imported tool present in WordPress dashboard.
    4. Follow remaining steps mentioned in this article.
    5. Change the DNS in Godaddy account for hosting account.
    6. Final step, change WordPress URL from temporary to custom domain.

Hope above steps helpful to you.
    Thanks,
