Okay everyone, the question has been going around…. which forum to choose for YOUR wordpress site.

    Some people choose…
    1) Mingle forum – It has a nice feel, but support isnt all that great and who knows when the developer is going to leave us….
    2) Wpsymposium – new forum software that is growing.
    3) bbpress – seems as if only buddypress sites can only use it. Other than that, it seems kind of boring…
    4) phpbb – not bad. Uses wp-united for integration.
    5) Vbulletin – You need a lot of $$$ to keep it running and updated with new updates.
    6) Xenforo – Awesome, yet an integration with wordpress has not been produced yet. Yes Xenscripts is available, but with it, you cant really use other wordpress plugins.
    7) Vanilla:forums – Good, but havent seen a really big site using it yet. Not sure of how many users it can hold…
    8) Mybb – Great forum sofware, but no integration with wordpress whatsoever.
    9) Simple Machines Forum – Great forum again, but still no real integration with wordpress

My question is… What forum software do you think is best that goes well with wordpress (integration)? Also, made for large sites? Lets face it, we dont want a forum software that can’t handle 50,000 users. Yeah, some of us might not make even a thousand members, but we still need to keep the numbers in mind for just in case.

    ANy ideas guys??
