How to stop allowing posting for pages and posts that are done.

    I found the command in the discussions to prevent comments on all new postings.. but is there a way to prevent comments on all the pages and posts that are already done…. short of exporting the data and changing the comment authorization and then import it back in or going to Mysql and make the change… Thanks for any advice..
    IF I have to do it in mysql does anyone know what field to change and to what…. Thanks..

    OK… so since no one is willing to offer advice… I am gonna try it myself… so here is what I will try.. please let me know if it looks like I am going to get into trouble with this…

    1. Make a post on my blog and I think i can mark it do not allow comments…
    2. Go to the mysql data base and try to find what it put there meaning no comments allowed…
    3. Search and replace that field with the new data that replaces allow comments to no comments…
    4. Wish me luck or scream at me if I am totally on the wrong track..
