This is in no way WordPress directly. SEO is rated on a ton of things and some even think there is an extreme art to it. Installing a SEO plugin and not understanding SEO will get you poor results. SEO is not a click and play type of thing.

I would do some serious studying up on SEO and then I am sure you will see where you are lacking and where you can improve your SEO. BTW. 4 or 5 days to apear is not that bad

It takes time and there is really not much you can do. As your site grows and gets more back links your crawl rate will increase.

As Chris Olbekson has pointed out, more relevant content and back links can help you a lot. So, add as much of useful content as frequently as you can – Content is the King.

BTW, it seems you do not keep track of your site at Google WMT because compared to total pages, indexed pages are very few. Have you looked for crawled and indexed pages in your Webmaster Tools account? Did you submit a sitemap? How many pages are indexed?

For this problem, rather than this forum, you should use Google forums/ help where you can find out solutions more easily.

OK, thanks for your reply, i have one doubt. i m using yost sitemap generator. i submitted individual sitemaps (for post, category etc..) is it correct or sitemap_index.xml only i have to submit?

Yoast is pretty good about making good site maps. If it says it is doing it, I am sure you are fine. Be careful not to submit your site maps too often as this could label your site as a spam site and search engines will not index it. It is very hard to get off the bad side of search engines.

You don’t need posts/ pages more than once in a sitemap, and you don’t need individual sitemaps. Review the Google guidelines that will clear your doubts.

Justin & krishna , ok thanks but please tell me, http://techpopular.com/sitemap_index.xml this is my sitemap, i had submitted child sitemaps i.e post, categories, pages etc..
now i removed them and submitted only http://techpopular.com/sitemap_index.xml, is it ok?. google sitemaster status says pending 🙁

Now what you have to do is keep track of it and see the number of pages indexed and the number of NOT indexed and errors. Make corrections for the errors. That’s all.

Just to add. The process can take some time.. I had a site that took almost 3 months before it was indexed completely. It took even longer to fine tune it.

Thanks guys, right now i have only added http://techpopular.com/sitemap_index.xml, and removed all, crawl errors comes but i feel those errors are not related to me so i just cleared them and marked them as fixed. do you have any idea about rss footer does it matter in indexing?. any help regarding this?
