I'm working on designing my first Wordpress theme for a blog I want to start up, but I don't want to have to begin paying for hosting while I'm still working on the design and building up some content. Is there any way of installing Wordpress virtually somehow so I can do this?
Try installing XAMPP on your computer.
Here is a good tutorial: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/xampp/

Thanks a lot, I'll try installing this on my VMWare Fusion Windows XP Virtual Machine, since I'm on a Mac. However, does anyone know of a similar Mac application? That would be better form me.
Why don't you check out the references in details... before replying????

Sorry, I didn't see that, I only saw where it said "This is written for Windows XP Home. It works for XP Pro, but only if you stop IIS" in the original link.
