Many hosts are currently experiencing problems due to mass attacks. Yours may be one of them. Try contacting them.
I’d also suggest reviewing http://wordpress.org/support/topic/brute-force-attacks-and-wordpress and Brute Force Attacks.
Remove the suspected plugins via Ftp and see if it works first.

What should I do? Do I delete the complete plugin folder or only particular files. Sorry if this sounds dumb. I dont want to mess up big time. I have spent a lot of time on this.
Have you contacted your hosting company as esmi suggested? That would be the first step before you start other troubleshooting steps.
And BTW, do not post about this question in other threads – they have been and will be deleted.
IF it’s a plugin issue, try just renaming the plugins folder to something else like “pluginsHOLD” – if doing that lets you login, then go back and delete the “bad” plugin that you tried to activate.

Yes, in most of the login issue situations, the sites are fine – people just cannot login.

I changed the plugin folder name as you suggested, and now when I enter my u/n p/w I get this below error… (between lines)

I like the site, it´s a lovely theme. Just the floating social icons are kind if irritating, can they be arranged vertically as well? And I would make my own icons, that is better for the overall branding. Other than that, really nice!
