Plugin for Photo Memorial

I’m looking for a plugin to display pictures for a Photo memorial for homicide victims. Ideally there would be a page of thumbnails with captions under them (Name and date) and when you click on the picture you could see a large photo with several paragraphs of text. I have not been able to find a plugin to do this for me yet, any recommendations?
