Problems with approving OpenID login

    When I try to authenticate myself on another website with the openid of my own site, I get this error message:

    Fatal error: Call to a member function needsSigning() on a non-object in /home/gr8extra/public_html/wp-content/plugins/openid/lib/Auth/OpenID/Server.php on line 1500

    However, if I first add the site at which I want to login manually with Trusted Sites, the OpenID login will work. What’s the problem here?
    PHP version: 5.3.20
