   I just want to display the posts from a category, in a new page. I'm rubbish at PHP so I was just hoping someone would put me out of my misery.

   It's built in, no need to create a new page. Click on a category and see if that's what you mean.

   No I want to be able to put what clicking on the category name gives you INTO a separate page. I'm doing it for aesthetics, so I can have a link atop the page for easy navigation.

   Still no need for Pages. What you need is Category_Templates.
