Developer username change

    I realize there’s no way I can change the username associated with my plugins myself but would it be possible for one of the admins to change my username and the one that displays under all of my plugins? I don’t want to lose all the download stats for my plugins and have to set everything up again starting from 0. Can anyone help me out or am I doomed to work under this username forever?

    Thanks for any help you can give me.

    I think you’re doomed to work under it forever if you want to keep your download stats etc. Changing usernames is a major no-no (even for tech ninja) as it links into so many things across the wordpress.org network.

    Gah 🙂 Do you think they might update the plugin system to show display names instead of actual usernames any time soon? I have been waiting a few years for that and it’d do the job nicely.

    Ahhh so it does. However if you search for your plugin on the left it shows username at the bottom of each result. So on my page it shows Crafty Coding with a link to my profile but on the search results it shows harleyquinedotcom which is my real username. Do you know of any way to change?

    That’s great, thank you very much. This is the next best thing to being able to change the username 🙂
