I love jetpack, can’t believe I haven’t started using it before today. I added the mobile feature and turned it on, but I only have a Windows phone to test it with currently…but I found the menu dropdown doesn’t work on WP8. It just acts like static html and no menu dropdown appears.

I’ll have it checked on WP7 as well, but is this known? I’ll look at it with another browser app.

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

Screenshots can also help; I don’t own any Windows Phone, so it’d be great if you make a few screenshots of how the menu looks like on your phone.

    Thanks!

    http://bcpipers.org is the site.

After trying to select menu…. The only action that happens is menu text gets selected. I’ve tried multiple ways to hit the dropdown without success, including tapping repeatedly all around, switching to landscape view, etc.

Thanks for providing more details about your problem, that’s helpful.

Could you try to deactivate the Like Button plugin that’s currently active on your site, to make sure it’s not actually conflicting with the menu in the Mobile Theme?

I tried disabling the facebook plugin and still have the same behavior. I’ll try disabling as many other plugins as possible to see if it helps

Yeah, no luck. I’m stripped down to just google analytics dashboard, an events calendar, spam free wordpress and WP Photo album plus, and still no menu. I tried changing IE settings on the phone (they have “use smart screen filter to protect against unsafe websites” and “send a do not track request to websites you visit” on by default). Then I tried the “UC Browser” and have the same issue.

Could you try to disable the Slideshow you added to your header, and let me know if that helps?

That was it exactly, thanks for your help! Don’t think that plugin has been updated in a while, I’ll ping support over there though and see if they have any thoughts about making that plugin work better with mobile. Or maybe there’s a better slideshow header option.

I’m not too familiar with sliders, but I have heard good things about this responsive slider.

Another alternative could be for you to deactivate the slider when on mobile.
