    Fresh new user.
I've checked the web for a while, and I realized that there is nothing to browse, manage, play and playlists your music on your website.
Let's say I want to store all my mp3's on my webspace and want to manage them from any remote computer. I want to move the files, manage the folders, drag the files to build playlist and play them. Exactly like what I'm doing in Itunes, except that I'm on my webspace.
I tried Wimpy, but the interface is poor. I'm looking for something like wordpress but for music, where everything is editable via web. It would be something like an FTP browser with an embedded player. Like hving iTunes on the web.
I'm not an expert, but I think that the first one producing it would make good money.
Or maybe I havent look enough and there's already something like that.
    Please help.

So you want a music file manager?

    File manager: wp-vault
    Player: inline-mp3-player
    Play listing: don't know

I wasn't clear enough. Consider the "music locker" offered by mp3tunes.com. Same thing, but on my server and not their one.
So something to browse and listen when you have LARGE amount of music (30 gb) like on an Ipod.

I am on the same quest, the best I could find so far is jamroom.net and I am currently testing it now but it seems to need alot of work to make your own template, but for wordpress I also recommend podpress which automatically adds a flash mp3 player (2 to choose from) as well as a podcast, I think using wordpress for a music CMS is fine, for an example see my site - RenatoMusic.com

hope this helps, keep on rockin!
