   Hi guys,

   Whenever I go to my site or my WP admin panel, I get the error (below) on top of the webpage. For security purposes, I replaced my user values with the x's. Everything was working fine until recently. The weird thing is, I have NOT changed or upgraded anything in months, so I don't even know where to look! Any help appreciated. Using WP version 2.2.1

   WordPress database error:
   [Access denied for user: 'xxxxxxx' to database 'xxxxxx'] INSERT INTO wp_useronline VALUES ('xxxxxxxx', 'xxxxxxx'

   That would seem the DB_USER you have specified in your wp-config.php no longer has insert privileges to the database.

   You can review Installing WordPress, Step 2 for a discussion on creating and giving privileges to the database user.

   The support staff @ my hosting provider weren't much help, so I ended up creating a new database.
