2.2-2.3 insert/edit link title disappears when editing

Hello:

I am having this issue on two blogs: Versions 2.2 and 2.3

I installed a brand new WordPress Blog through Fantastico – Version 2.2. It installed fine.

I upgraded a 2.0.1 blog to 2.3. That went fine after a small glitch misunderstanding one of the instructions.

PROBLEM with both…

When you want to edit a link using: insert/edit link … The title information disappears when editing.

I tried an old version 2.0.1 and this *does not* happen. The title information remains as it should!

It is very annoying if you already have a title tag in the insert/edit link dialog box and want to fix a typo or change it the entire thing disappears.

I did a work around by taking the text from the source code before editing, so that I did not have to recreate the wheel, but that is NOT the way to do things.

Can someone tell me how to fix this please. Obviously it is not just a bug in 2.2.
