I’m trying to figure out where I can add the homepage title and meta description. I’m using the Scrollider WooTheme.

Under Reading Settings, ‘Front page displays’ is set to ‘Your latest posts’.

I’ve resorted to hardcoding it into the homepage template, but I’d prefer to put it someplace more easily editable. Any ideas?

It wasn’t obvious, but under the ‘Home’ tab in the Titles & Metas section, there’s options for “Title template” and “Meta description template”.

“Template” is the confusing word, but I think it’s used to infer that you can include the %%sitename%%, %%sep%%, and other variables in these fields. But for those just adding text, it’s a bit confusing. Please consider rewording that section in the plugin.

    Hi jazzerus,

I had exactly the same question a week ago and it wasn’t until I watched a few YouTube vids of how to set up Yoast that someone pointed this out.

Agreed… “Title template” and “Meta description template” is confusing and not obvious. I have entered what I wanted in these fields.

Anyway looks like we both sorted 🙂
