Can't get Legend to work with Headway Theme

    I’m having difficulty getting Category Colors Legend working. I’ve copied the ecp-page-template.php file to a new Events folder – my theme > events folder. I’ve added this line of code where I want the legend to appear: <?php teccc_legend_hook(); ?>

    I’m using a Headway Theme and have everything working except the Legend: http://carolinaepicurean.com/events/

    The “Legend” on the page now are a series of .jpeg’s with category names on them and no links. Still want to do some styling on event category pages.

    The Legend was working fine with my previous theme: Genesis with Lifestyle Child.

    Help would be appreciated.

    The good news is the plugin is being overhauled for the new TEC 3.0 and installation of the legend will not require anything other than a checkbox, providing you like the default location.

    Do you have the ‘Default Events Template’ selected in the Display settings?

    I have Default Page Template selected.

    Good news re plugin overhaul. I love using it and it’s worked like a charm since installation.

    Try selecting ‘Default Events Template’ I think that’s the page getting called in the override for ecp-page-template.php.

    Looks like you’re going to have to clean up the eco-page-template.php a lot. But the legend now shows.

    That worked (yay!), but the events page is across the entire screen (http://carolinaepicurean.com/events/) and single events are spread across the entire screen and include a long list of things at the bottom: http://carolinaepicurean.com/event/hops-around-greensboro-month-of-april/

    Okay. I’ll look for that file (eco-page-template.php) Assuming you meant ecp-page-template.php?

    There’s no way to call the Legend on Default Page Template?

    If not, I’ll see what I can do to edit the file. I’m not a “coder”, so it will be trial and error.

    Looks like you’ll need to copy more elements from the theme’s page to ecp-page-template.php

    You might just be better off not spending the time with fixing this and waiting until TEC 3.0 and the next version. If you want to see it in action drop me an email at andy@thefragens.com and I’ll show you my dev site.
