   I am currently in the proces of moving my two year old Wordpress blog to Drupal. In this proces I would like to also move my tags from UltimateTagWarrior to a Drupal taxonomy.

   The easiest way would just be to convert UTW tags to WP tags or categories, and then import that into Drupal. But I can't seem to find any material on that?

   I know that 2.3 lets me convert UTW tags to WP tags, but I don't think any of the WP->Drupal converters accept WP2.3 tags as taxonomies. So has anyone ever converted UTW tags to WP categories? If so, how?

   This is really a question you should ask the Drupal community, we don't know how their importers work.

   But Otto; what I want to do is to convert a Wordpress' plugins tags to Wordpress categories. It's all about Wordpress, not Drupal. Once the tags has become categories, I'll do the convert with the assistance of the Drupal crowd.

   If you have WP 2.3 - just visit the Import subpanel in your own admin... and read carefully.

   boetter: I know what you want, but WordPress does not have a way to convert Tags to Categories. It does have a UTW importer, but that imports to Tags, not categories.

   So, you really want to talk to the people at Drupal, so they can tell you how to add support for importing the Tags as well. All they have to do is to make a minor change to their parser, assuming that they use the WordPress export file to import from already. I mean, I really don't know, I found Drupal to be difficult to use and somewhat ugly, personally, so I never bothered to learn how that part of it worked.
