I’ve been searching for a good frontend publishing plugin for ages. Yours is the best. Pure and simple. The form layout is beautiful, the settings are great. I simply love it. I think you’ve done brilliant work.

    Yet, I can’t use it.

There is one feature missing and this makes the plugin completely unuseable for me. I can’t have posts go through to a pending or draft state. This means that anyone could jump on my site and plaster it with spam or offensive material.

Please, please fix this! Nothing out there comes close to the quality of what you’ve made, but it is missing one crucial feature: a feature that almost every other frontend publishing plug in DOES possess.

If you fix this I will give you a five star review and tell the world how awesome your work is.

    Thanks for your nice feedback.

Please tell me how you see this implemented the best way, and I will see what I can do.

I have planned to implement hadling of states, but I believe the standard way of handling this should be improved in WP 3.6, so I postponed it a bit.ú

One way to do it, is to implement it per role, as “can publish”. If this is set tu true for a role, it will work as now, if set to false the user will only only be able to submit post as draft. If user wants to edit a draft post, it can be updated but stays draft.

Just so I understand it, what userroles do you allow to post from frontend ?

When I have your feedback, I will look at it – I am travelling this week without access to my test system, so it will have to wait until next week for me to finish it

    With a delay 🙂

Post status transitions are now supported in version 1.3

Let me know what you think
