More control over RSS content additions?
-
WordPress version: 3.5.1
WordPress SEO version: 1.4.4I did this:
I entered the following into the “Content to put after each post” field of the RSS options page:
%%BLOGLINK%%
%%POSTLINK%%
I expected the plugin to do this:
Add these links only after the page content (i.e., into only the <content> portion of the feed XML).
Instead it did this:
Also added these links into the <description> portion of the feed XML.
This is a problem because my RSS-to-email tool (and possibly other RSS readers) display the <description> field. The <description> field contains my SEO-optimized blog post summary, which is great. But then these additional links get concatenated on (often in plain text only), which greatly hurts the readability.
Perhaps there’s a plugin file I can easily edit to remove the inclusion of these links in the <description> tag while leaving them in the <content> tag?
Thank you,
Andrew
