• How do we know when someone is linking to one of our posts using trackback? In the default template, only Comments (0) shows up but not Trackbacks (0) like I’ve seen MT blogs do. How do we have the number of trackbacks show up like the comments do? Or where do we even find who is trackbacking to us? Thanks.

  • In your Options->RSS/Track/Pingbacks page, make sure that use_trackback is set to ‘true’.

Trackbacks and pingbacks are counted as comments. If you enabled them, they should show up in the comments section.

Hey, so while I’m getting to be pretty saavy when it comes to PHP and CSS (I’m a programmer by day, so ‘code is code’), I’m still unsure of whether I should turn on trackback/pingback stuff. I’d love to get more traffic through my website, but not sure of which options I should turn on, etc. (I mean, I know the options are there — I’ve made sure they were OFF . . . 😉 ).
Is there any ‘usage guidelines’ for activating some of these features?
    =d
