Hi,
For this you need to make sure you enable the appropriate permissions in phpBB. Look for the “can reply to… in WordPress” permission under the WP-United tab when setting advanced permissions for a group or user in the phpBB ACP.

Thanks for your response. Sorry I was not clear: all my group’s permissions are set in phpBB3 for WP United.
I do not see any “can reply to…” in my phpBB3 WP United tab. Could you help me understand: are you saying WordPress users can only comment if they’re listed as subscribers? Because in the phpBB3 I have these options:
Can integrate as a WordPress Author (can write blog posts)
Can integrate as a WordPress contributor (can write but not publish posts)
Can integrate as a WordPress subscriber (can view profile, write comments)
According to WordPress roles, all of these options can comment, and all of my groups except guests have the role of contributor so they can also write blog posts.
Your WP-United settings will allow me to choose all three of these options, which further confuses me.
I have tried all three options separately with my groups and with every option the comments are closed.
I would really like to see this working, it is such a nice idea.
Please could I get an answer on this. I already have all the settings in phpBB3 ACP to where people can integrate and crosspost and still there is no comment field under my posts in WordPress. Instead it says comments are closed.
Comments are still closed, and I still have to approve all auto posts, even thought the author is the highest Admin possible and all permissions are set.
Hi there, I get the exact same problem, my permissions are set for guests to be able to reply on the comment form and for it to post to phpbb. As soon as I tick the phpBB manages comments box in wp united settings, it closes my comments form on my blog.

I’m having some similar issues, so maybe you know how to fix them. I don’t have those problems about “comments closed”, but certainly I had a lot of checks around the ACP and spent a lot of time trying to activate all the possible combinations.
My problem is whenever I post a comment in a WordPress post that is cross-posted into the forum, the comments are just shown at phpBB, but the post stays with no comments. What I wanted is that comments are also shown there, namely, comments are shown in both places. I guessed it would work like that according to some of the options of the plugin, but it seems it does not work or it’s not like I thought. Any idea about this?
