Still Having Category Problems

    Hey everybody-

    My 2.3 upgrade still is giving me problems…when I upgraded, something really weird happened with my categories. On the homepage, all of the pasts are categorized in “Uncategorized”, but the categories and their posts show up correctly on the Archives page.

    I’ve tried everything; disabled plugins, themes, etc. I even tried to go back down to 2.2 and re-upgrade to 2.3, but nothing has worked. I’m not getting any db errors, either.

    In addition, the upgrade created a random category called “42” and put one of my random posts in there. I’m not sure why, but it happened.

    None of the solutions that I’ve been able to find so far have worked…any suggestions?

    Did you run the Manage->Import Convert Categories to Tags?

    No, I didn’t change anything pertaining to the categories. I imported my tags from UTW into WP, but I can’t think of anything other than that.

    My post-upgrade posts are working fine, it’s just the older ones that are giving me problems.

    So when you do Manage->Posts for one of those old posts, do it show the correct Categories there?

    No, it doesn’t, and when I’m on the actual edit page for the post, it doesn’t show it as being categorized. The archives page still shows everything and categorizes it correctly, though.
