WP Database Question

    I am using WP 2.2 Version.
    I want to make it 2.3 but i’m not sure if the databe will work.
    What i want to ask is: Will the WP2.2 Database work on 2.3 WP version? with all the posts and comments and users…
    Because i want to backup database from 2.2, install the WP 2.3 and then replace the WP 2.3 database tables with the WP 2.2 backuped database tables.
