where to put the google author code?

    I resently activated my google+ business page and it provides a simple html code lika a href to put anywhere in your code so that google knows its your page basically. I tried before the last /body
    and in the footer.php and in the functions.php and the google+ site testing options said that it wasnt working.
    Please help me find where to put this code.
