Are we not going to see anymore major updates/add-ons after 1.0? It would be nice to have a list of what WordPress is capable of right now (as of .71) and as you lead up to 1.0.
There is no version number religion around here. 1.0 is going to be just another milestone in the constant improvement of WordPress. Regarding version number bloat, I think WP suffers from the opposite, which might influence some people who aren't familiar with more conservative versioning and might perceive it as a sign of immaturity. If WP/b2 was made by a corporation it would be on version 5 or 6 by now.
