• Hi,

I have had to resort to using “No highlighting” since the plug in acts weirdly with all other settings for coloring searched words (CSS styling also screws things up). It might render the whole page black or displace the footer. I suspect it collides with my css and inserts an extra <div> tag somehow.

Anyone else seen this? It would be nice to be able to highlight search words and also color them.

Which version are you using, 3.1.5 or 3.1.4? Relevanssi does not insert any div’s when highlighting, it uses strong, mark or span to tag the highlighted content.

    Hi,

it’s the latest free version. Probably a conflct with my theme, then. It’s called Modernize.

I have the same issue. I use Relevanssi on another site and it works a treat, it’s a great plugin but I wish you could turn the css clash off and just get it to use the current templates styling. I too have the free version and am using modernize.

Also getting the black page when searching. Apart from Search Everything plugin which is good, there is not much else out there. If there is please post.

Looks like Modernize theme is incompatible with Relevanssi. Not knowing anything else about the theme it’s really hard to say why is that.

    Hi,

Relevanssi and Modernize are compatible. I’ve had no problem with Relevanssi and Modernize for many months. I simply stopped using the highlight function and the plug i runs smoothly on Modernize.
