Using along with Types Plugin to Show Image based on checkbox value

So basically, im not 100% sure if the problem lies with gravity forms-update post, types, or Gravity Forms + Custom post types. im using all 3. With the types plugin, i am able to create a checkbox custom field, that will display an image if it is checked, and nothing if it is not. if i attempt to update this field from the post editor, it works perfectly. if i use the front-end form i have created with Gravity Forms, while the data looks like it was updated correctly when i view it in the post editor, on my front end display template, it shows the image every time, regardless of whether the checkbox was checked. im looking for an guidance, since i cant seem to figure out what im doing wrong! if it would help to see some of my code and settings, just let me know what and ill set it up. thanks!
