Pagination Icons are in vertical order

after installing the plug in and choosing the images and use all the settings i want… the Pagination Icons are aligned vertical instead of horizontal – this happens no matter the position i set to them..

and one more Q please :
where do i change the background image because it has what i think a transparent background (like when using transparent background in Photoshop (grey-white squares).
