• I was editing my site. I installed the buddypress toolbar and the bam…. I get this error code.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_dtheme_ajax_querystring() (previously declared in /home/content/25/10223825/html/4/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/ajax.php:91) in /home/content/25/10223825/html/4/wp-content/themes/custom-community/_inc/ajax.php on line 81

I can’t view my site or get to my dashboard. What do I do?

  • @infinity20:
Did you mean that you installed my plugin “BuddyPress Toolbar” or did you use the built-in BuddyPress Toolbar (buddypress bar) from older BuddyPress versions?

If you did the first, use my plugin, then go in via your FTP account and rename or delete the plugin folder “/buddypress-toolbar/” within the “/wp-content/plugins/” folder.

After that call this URL: http://your-domain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php

This should bring back the admin area for you.

Since this is the first time I hear such things regarding my plugin I am wondering what your setup is? WP Version, BuddyPress Version, PHP Version etc.? Also which theme did you use?

    Thanks, Dave 🙂

Ah, I see from your error message above, that you seem to use the “Custom Community” theme! The error seems to be in the theme or regarding to it.

Try to rename the theme folder “/custom-community/” within the “/wp-content/themes/” folder and then call this URL: http://your-domain.com/wp-admin/themes.php –> replacing “your-domain.com” with your actual domain of course :).

Should bring back wp-admin for you. Or contact the theme support for “Custom Community” theme.

    Thanks, Dave 🙂
