problems with settings and jobs

WP 3.5.1
BackWPup 3.0.6
shared hosting with 128 MB RAM

there are a some settings that don’t seem to be saving properly, or are getting changed somehow

i have 2 jobs scheduled to run daily – db export to dropbox and xml export to dropbox – neither job ran last night

looking at the ‘jobs’ pg. today, both jobs are listed to run Dec. 31, 1969, however on the schedule pg. for each job, they are set to daily and the next run time listed on those pages is correct (Next runtime: Sun, 17 Mar 2013, 02:00) – the jobs will not auto-run however until i re-save the schedule settings for each

almost every job has multiple errors and/or warnings and the run times are extremely long

i’ve tried various settings – restart job at every step; enable/disable pausing – the results seem to be the same

this is part of an WP xml export log (nothing else)…
