I currently own a domain name through GoDaddy. I currently have a weebly.com website mapped to that domain.

What I want to do is map a new WordPress.org-based website to that domain. But I’d like to develop the full website on WordPress.org before I remove the current site that is mapped to the domain.

    1. Is this possible / how would I do that?

    2. How will I unmap the existing site from the GoDaddy domain?

    3. How will I then map the new WordPress.org site to the GoDaddy domain?

Thanks in advance for your guidance!

You can setup wordpress in folder and get all setup ones all is set up then is matter of moving the install in root or use from directory and change name servers at Go Daddy to point to host account where wordpress is installed.
